Priya Radhakrishnan, MD, FACP
The National Leadership Award recognizes an Arizona physician who has made a significant impact through leadership in a national medical organization. This year, we proudly honor Dr. Priya Radhakrishnan, Chair Emeritus of the American College of Physicians’ Board of Governors, who is at the forefront of national advocacy efforts championing transgender health, physician mental well-being, and reproductive healthcare access.
She also plays a key role in the Institute for Health Improvement’s “Help Healthcare Heal” Coalition, working to reform physician licensing language in 20 states to better support mental health initiatives. Previously, as Governor of ACP Arizona, she guided physicians through the COVID-19 pandemic, providing critical resources, hosting webinars, and advocating for public health policies. She has been a driving force behind physician well-being initiatives, mentorship programs for medical students, and national advocacy efforts to protect patient care.
Furthermore, her role as an active member of ArMA and the AMA has greatly contributed to the desperate need for advocacy in the House of Medicine. Her commitment to advancing healthcare policy and supporting physicians has a lasting impact, strengthening Arizona’s voice in national healthcare discussions and shaping the future of medicine.
