What Our Members Say

"I realized that our profession was heavily influenced by legislation, regulation, insurance contracts, hospital bylaws, and boards very early in my career. The only way to amplify our voices and those of our patients is through our state and federal medical associations. Together, we can not only correct the misdirected health care policies but frame the future of high-quality, accessible care."

Daniel Briceland, MD

"The political world is complicated and ever-changing. Many decisions are being made every day that directly affect Arizona physicians' way of practice and quality of life. If we don't have skilled lobbyists and meaningful relationships with legislators that can look out for our interests, we fall behind. ArMA provides this invaluable service to its members as it is very active politically with a well-respected presence at the Arizona State Capitol. I hope more physicians, in all stages of their careers, will make political advocacy part of their practice. Our voices are vital in making impactful changes."

Gary Kirkilas II, DO

"It is so important for every physician to be part of organized medicine. We are at a critical point in healthcare, and the pandemic only highlighted many of the challenges we have as physicians. I believe strongly that if we want improvements in healthcare and for our patients, physicians need to be involved in that change, but our voices are louder and stronger when we are united in that endeavor. The first step in finding the changes for healthcare that we desire is to band together. It has been a very rewarding experience, and I have had the pleasure of meeting some passionate and dedicated physicians in Arizona."
