Private Practice Physician Section
Preserving Private Practice in the State of Arizona
The Arizona Medical Association has a long-standing history of supporting physicians in private practice, and now that mission is more important than ever before. As private practice becomes a smaller and smaller segment of our profession, our members in private practice need our support and a platform for their voice.
Launched in 2023, ArMA's Private Practice Physician Section (PPPS) is designed for physicians who work in or are supportive of the private practice setting. This section provides support, resources, and a community for physicians who want to maintain autonomy and continue practicing independently.
Any ArMA member who currently works in a private practice setting with operational and clinical decision-making autonomy is eligible for membership in the section. This includes physicians working in practices with 50 or fewer physicians, with the exception of those brand facilities owned by large healthcare systems. We know there are physicians interested in supporting the mission of the private practice section who are not currently working in a private practice setting. We welcome these physicians to join the section and its conversations as associate members.
