Ashley Schnock

Ashley Schnock joined the Arizona Medical Association's Specialty Society Department as Executive Director in September 2022 and was promoted to Director of Specialty Society Management in 2025. In this leadership role, she supports the operations of twelve physician-led organizations and directly manages six: the Arizona Psychiatric Society, Arizona Neurosurgical Society, Arizona Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Arizona Dermatological Society, Arizona Radiological Society, and Phoenix Urological Society.



Ashley provides comprehensive executive leadership across association operations, including strategic planning, board governance, membership engagement, financial management, continuing medical education (CME) program development, advocacy initiatives, event management, sponsorship development, and organizational growth. As a registered Arizona lobbyist, she works closely with physician leaders and policymakers to advance legislation and public policy that supports physicians, patients, and the delivery of high-quality healthcare.


Prior to her current role, Ashley served as the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Phoenix Society of Gastroenterology, where she led organizational operations, governance, educational programming, financial management, and strategic initiatives to support physician members and advance the society's mission.


She previously served as the Administrative Coordinator and Health & Public Policy Administrator for the Arizona Chapter of the American College of Physicians. She also serves as the administrative liaison to the American Psychiatric Association, supporting the Arizona District Branch and its national initiatives.


Ashley is actively involved in national association leadership. She serves as Co-Chair of the American Psychiatric Association District Branch Executive Directors Committee, collaborating with executive directors from across the country to strengthen district branch operations, share best practices, and advance organizational excellence. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE), helping shape the future of medical society management through strategic leadership and professional collaboration.


With more than 20 years of experience in executive leadership, nonprofit management, healthcare operations, and association management, Ashley is recognized for her strategic vision, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership style. She is passionate about strengthening physician organizations, advancing healthcare advocacy, expanding high-quality continuing medical education, fostering physician well-being, and improving equitable access to healthcare.
