Arizona Medical Association is in Full Opposition of Prop 207

September 17, 2020 (Phoenix) – The Arizona Medical Association (ArMA) is strongly opposed to Proposition 207 – the Smart and Safe Arizona Act. ArMA's opposition is due to not enough research determining the impact of prolonged marijuana use. Prop 207 is not in the best interest of patient safety or public health and is fraught with unintended consequences.

“Voter approved initiatives must provide sound data behind their efforts,” stated Dr. Ross Goldberg, ArMA President. “Arizona’s physicians take every measure to ensure the science supports their decisions to improve the health of their patients. This initiative is not safe for Arizona.”
