Educational Objectives:  At the conclusion of this meeting, the participant will be able to utilize the assessment of IBD severity and rationale for aggressive treatment and become familiar with different treatment targets in IBD.

Practice Gap: The management of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is evolving based on new therapies and treatment goals. Current management of IBD follows a personalized approach based on disease extent and severity, the projected natural history of disease, and the probability of response to specific treatments. An informed strategy to address loss of response to therapies is also required. 

Target Audience: Gastroenterologists, surgeons, internists, primary care physicians and other interested health care providers
