5th Annual Arizona Medical Association (ArMA) Spring Conference

Mayo Clinic Hospital, Phoenix, AZ - March 16, 2019

"Healthcare Innovations and Solutions: How it impacts the Physician Community"

Formerly known as the ArMA Physician Leadership Conference, this year's Spring Conference will address a very timely issue of machine learning and how it impacts the practice of medicine. This topic is spurred by the advances of processing power, memory, storage, and an unprecedented wealth of data. We are seeing more now than ever computers are being asked to tackle increasingly complex learning tasks, often with astonishing success.

The year's speakers have been selected to discuss the problems in medicine that might benefit from such learning approaches; use examples to introduce basic concepts in machine learning; identify what obstacles there may be to change the practice of medicine through statistical learning approaches; and discuss how these might be overcome moving forward.
