The Governor’s Council on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response

The Governor’s Council on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response (Council) was established pursuant to Executive Order 2014-08. The Council is responsible for developing and implementing a coordinated comprehensive plan to ensure Arizona’s public health infrastructure is prepared for the potential outbreak of infectious diseases, and can provide rapid response that effectively protects the safety and well-being of Arizonans. Further information on the work of the Council is available at ADHS’ website.

ArMA’s Disaster Preparedness and Awareness Task Force worked with many state and community organizations in a cooperative effort to create a single resource for the practicing Arizona physician. The resource that came about as part of the Task Force’s ongoing work is the Disaster Preparedness and Awareness Guide for Arizona Physicians. This page features links appropriate for physicians to locate information for medical purposes as well as resources to assist physicians in educating their patients. The links are also featured in the Guide.
